Crossplay is a combination of cross-dressing and cosplay, where a person dresses up as a character of the other gender. Its origins lie in the anime convention circuit, but, like cosplay, crossplay has not remained restricted to the genre. There are two types of crossplays, namely, male-to-female crossplay, and female-to-male crossplay.

Many cartoons were produced in the ensuing decades from the establishment of the art but it wasn’t until 1960’s that the work really started to become recognised. With the help of Osamu Tezuka anime works began to get recognised outside of Japan and by the 1980’s was recognised outside its originating country.

Animations have grown in popularity in the recent past. The show are not been watched by children only but also people from all walks of life. This can be attributed to the quality that has been added to the animations to make them more appealing. This is exactly what has increased the demand of the animations from the older generations.

Anime is a Japanese art form that was established in Japan in the early 1900’s. Despite many cartoons being created it wasn’t until the pioneering works of Osamu Tezuka’s Atom Boy were published that the animation really started to take form.

This popular manga/ anime series, death note, was written and illustrated by Tsugumi Ohba, and the manga artist Takeshi Obata. The plot revolves around the main character who finds a supernatural notebook that was addressed to the Earth by the death God.
